NEW YORK (AP) — An nervy Tony Awards kicked off Sunday with a pre-show heavy on unpredictability after the Hollywood writers’ strike left Broadway’s biggest night without a script.Entropy has been inserted into what is usually an upbeat, safe and chummy night. The strike by the Writers Guild of America has left Broadway’s biggest night to reply on spontaneity in a new venue far from the theater district. “Tonight is unscripted, darlings,” host Ariana DeBose warned those attending the show. She revealed to the crowd the only words that will be seen on the teleprompter: “Please wrap up.”A pre-show on Pluto TV beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern is being hosted by Julianne Hough and Skylar Astin. Man dies after morning shooting in Vallejo

(KRON) -- A man died after a shooting Sunday morning in Vallejo, the city's police department announced in a press release. The shooting happened around 7:29 a.m. on the 100 block of Simonton Street. One dead, six injured in Antioch birthday party shooting Vallejo Police Department (VPD) officers arrived at the scene of the shooting and saw the man with at least one gunshot wound. Medical crews took him to the hospital where he later died.The victim's identity is not yet being released by officials. VPD said this is Vallejo's eighth homicide of 2023.No arrests have been made in this shooting. The man survived, but the woman died from her injuries at the scene, said police. Detectives determined that the male victim was the husband of the homicide victim.
