Negro Leagues museum president ‘disappointed’ by firing of A’s broadcaster Glen Kuiper Bob Kendrick, the president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, said Monday that he was disappointed to see longtime Oakland A’s broadcaster Glen Kuiper fired for using a racial epithet on the air before an A’s game earlier this month.“I was hoping it would not come to that because in my heart it was a mistake,” Kendrick said Monday by phone. “Was it a very sensitive mistake? Of course it was. 10-year-old child stabbed to death in East Oakland, police say  (KRON) -- Police are investigating a stabbing that left a 10-year-old girl dead in East Oakland on Monday morning, the Oakland Police Department confirmed to KRON4. Two victims identified in fatal crash on Hwy-101 in Sunnyvale In a press conference held near 45th and Bancroft avenues for the homicide investigation, OPD interim Chief of Police Darren Allison stated that OPD received a call about a possible shooting or stabbing in the 4500 block of Bancroft Avenue. Police found a bloody knife at the scene when they arrived. The original caller notified officers that the suspect had killed the victim. Officers forced their way into the residence, where they found the 10-year-old girl with severe injuries. The officers attempted to provide medical aid, but after emergency medical personnel arrived, the child was pronounced dead.
